We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Sudbury, a catergory** D men's**prison located in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

**Hours**
The site currently offers 35 hours per week
7:30am - 5pm - 4 days a week

**Salary**
This position is 35 hours per week & you’ll receive an annual salary up to £29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care

**Qualifications required**
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
