**Project Engineer | Crewe CW1 | 40 hours standard | £22,000 to £40,000 commensurate with experience/knowledge**

Spectrum Gas Systems Limited is a specialist company in a niche business sector. As such, the position is open to a wide variety of engineering disciplines.

Spectrum Gas Systems Limited manufacture, fabricate, assemble, install, testing and inspections ofsmall bore instrumentation tubing / larger pipe skids for handling numerous hazardous pressurised gases.

There are no formal qualifications that you can obtain in our business sector and hence the position is open to individuals from various backgrounds and experiences. What is important is to have the aptitude, attitude and ability to learn new skills andcomplement our existing skilled workforce and business work ethics.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Basic word processing/spreadsheet skills will be required
- You will need to have a positive adaptable approach and be willing and able to learn our business
- You will need to be capable of proving your ability as an individual and as part of a team in a niche specialist business sector including Automotive, Research, Defence, Energy, Metals, Laboratories, Gas / Oil any other areas
- Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD / Solidworks would be advantageous, but not essential
- Experience and knowledge of Electrical Control Systems / PLCs and associated equipment would be advantageous, but not essential
- Knowledge of pipework / fittings and Swagelok type tubing / fittings would be advantageous, but not essential

**What will your role as a Project Engineer look like?**

All aspects of Project Engineering including:

- Taking customer enquiry
- Attending site meetings / visits
- Agreeing on the scope of works/supply proposal costing
- Selection of suitable equipment
- Produce cost sheets
- Submission of a quotation
- Receiving a customer order
- Purchase of equipment and materials
- Supervision of shop build/ preparation
- Coordination with the customer
- Liaison/supervision of installation team
- Collate certification documentation package and issue to customer
- Close out project for invoicing
