We’ve been around for over 13 years, we have a stable list of clients and a strong reputation in our field. Yet we scaled back during the pandemic to create a new business (successfully) and now are ready to put all the focus back on Cunning Plan to reach its true potential.
We are looking for a talented individual with experience running social media accounts within an agency environment. That means you’ll treat the account like it’s your own, use the great assets we have for you to create content you’d be proud of.

**What Will You Be Doing**
We believe these are normally called ‘responsibilities’, but we prefer plain English.
- Managing social media accounts for 4-5 clients
- Create and publish engaging content that is targeted at our client's audience and is in line with the client's strategy and brand guidelines
- Monitor client social channels and engage with their audience
- Creating and managing content planners for each client channel
- Briefing a designer on any requirements you have for photography, videography and design that you need for your social channels
- Creating copy that fits the individual client's tone of voice
- Attending events
- Managing relationships with bloggers, vloggers and social influencers
- Setting up and managing paid adverts and boosted content on relevant channels
- Using social media management tools to schedule and optimise content
**What Should You Be Good At?**
This is the skills and responsibilities section. What do we expect you to bring to the table?
- The role involves checking a lot of ‘stuff’. So naturally, we expect you to have meticulous attention to detail
- We always say organised, but what does that mean? Well, you will be managing multiple clients across different projects. You’ll need to work with internal and external resources to deliver the services. You’ll be able to do this using the tools given to you, by recommending ones you like and all without needing to ask for someone else to plan things for you
- Life isn’t simple and sometimes the answer isn’t obvious. As a business, we are always trying to push ourselves into new areas and sometimes that means we take risks on new things. This means you need to be a happy problem solver, someone comfortable taking the initiative and willing to learn
- An agency is a unique environment. If you’ve not worked in one before, this isn’t the role to learn that on the job, so we’d like approx. 1 year of previous agency experience
- You’ll need to have good knowledge of social media platforms, trends and best practices - we get paid to be the experts
- Proficiency in social media management tools
- ‘Outwit Ordinary’ is our mission, not a catchphrase, so everyone needs to have a creative mindset and be full of ideas
**What Sort Of Person Are You?**
We are quite picky about the type of people we like to work with, so we thought we’d explain what sort of characters we prefer in the office.
- You will be easy-going. We all work hard and strive to do amazing jobs but that doesn’t mean we have to be stressed all the time
- Someone who cares about doing a good job. It might be old-fashioned but we have a company value that says we won’t accept the average, we want to go that extra mile and we like working with people who get a buzz from doing a good job
- Crowd pleaser. Nobody needs an ego hogging up the office, but we want confident people that like to shine and impress others
- Ambitious. We want to grow and to do that, we want people that desire a great career and to earn good money
**What Sort Of People Are We?**
We expect you to be as picky as us, so here’s a little about who you’d be working with.
- The owners have run multiple, successful businesses over the last 20 years. In doing so, we have always put the focus on developing the team and having them shine
- As a result, we never micro-manage. We trust our team and give them the freedom to do the job we employed them to do. If you are struggling, don’t panic, we are also very approachable
- We work very hard. We believe talent is great but cannot compensate for hard work
- As a company, we love the internet, marketing, data, digital, social media, and as a whole, quite nerdy - in a cool way of course
- We firmly believe marketing plays a massively important role in company success and we like to prove that to all our clients
- If we don’t like the sound of a project or client, we will walk away. Sticking to our values and respecting our team is at the heart of how we’ve grown all our businesses
