**Logistics Officer/Coordinator - Remote/Home based**

**With travel to sites in North of England and Scotland**

Working within Dry/Moist/Liquids (DML) Logistics, you will be the focal point for all aspects of operational delivery across the North West/Yorkshire and Scotland.

Working closely with the DML Logistic & Contracts Manager your duties will include monitoring and managing the performance of both third party hauliers and our internal own fleet, ensuring both customer sites and end users' expectations are continuously being achieved.

You will be expected to have onsite regular review meetings with both logistic partners and our customers, assuring the correct logistic solution is in place to meet high level targets. You will be playing an important role within the DML department, you will also be working closely with all ForFarmers teams supporting them to achieve and maintain high customer standards. You will also be support to the DML Logistic Planners for the transport planning of DML’s own vehicle fleet, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle efficiency whilst ensuring all compliance regulations are continuing to be achieved.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Provide logístical support to the DML logistic Planners
- Regular review meetings with 3PL and Customer sites managing agreed KPI’s and SLA’s
- Commercial negotiation with 3PL hauliers for new and existing contracts
- Assist with logístical costs for budgets and forecasting
- Proactive approach for resolving issues, streamlining processes and problem solving
- Administration tasks as and when required - credit/debit notes, filing, invoice cancellations, new account set-up forms, vehicle registration entry and planning spreadsheet data.
- Daily monitoring of drivers progress via own systems and 3PL communication
- Daily planning reports completed in a timely manner and sent to the logistics contracts manager.
**To be successful in the role, your CV should show**:

- That you have GCSE standard education.
- Experience working within a customer facing role.
- Confident interpersonal & social skills - ability to deal with personnel at all levels of business.
- Pro-active & excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Experience within managing relationships for external partners
- Logistics team leading/management (2 years) with problem solving skills and the ability to implement solutions
- Commercial awareness and a confident performer under pressure with a can do attitude
- IT literate with a prior knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word as well as some CRM and data/order-entry software experience.
Working week is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. You must have a full driving licence and the ability to travel to various sites in the North West and Scotland.
