Butler Rose seek a Management Accountant to join the team with our well-established client in Torbay. The role requires someone with not only the experience but the ability to communicate to non-financial budget holders regarding their financial situationsand the confidence to communicate to all levels of management. My client has emphasised that this personality trait is extremely important for their vacancy and do really need someone with personal soft skills.

This role attracts an annual salary value of circa £27,000, with increases after 2 and 4 years of service. The role is permanent, full time, working 37.5hrs per week, Mon - Fri, with the current expectation of 1 day per week minimum to be office based in Torquay.This may change but at present they are still working in a hybrid situation working 1 day a week in the office. Other notable benefits include a childcare facility on site and 27 days holidays plus BHs

General job description:

- Provide a Management Accounting service, including ensuring financial information is processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with procedures and policies of the Finance Directorate.
- To provide information for statutory returns through completion of own work and through the coordination of the work of others.
- Producing monthly variance analysis for review, and investigation for specific budgets with relevant budget holders and support operational decisions and any mitigations.
- Assisting with monthly I&E reporting. Forecasting of income, pay and non-pay expenditure forward on a regular basis, and assisting with year-end processes and procedures.
- Undertaking investigations into complex financial activity related issues, frequently meeting budget holders, undertaking forecast work and providing advice as appropriate.
- Support colleagues within the Finance Directorate and advice and assistance to budget holders throughout the organisation.
