Position: 1st Line Support - Managed Service Provider

Location: Cornwall

**Salary**: £140-£150/day

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated 1st Line Support Engineer to join our Managed Service Provider team based in Cornwall. You will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and handling customer enquiries. You must beable to work on your own initiative and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving them in a timely manner
- Setting up new systems and configuring existing systems
- Ensuring that customer service levels are met
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring uptime
- Documenting customer information and system changes
- Liaising with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
- Proactively identifying potential issues and finding solutions
- Maintaining customer accounts and ensuring their security
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and technologies

Technical Skills Required:

- Experience in providing 1st line technical support in a Managed Service Provider environment
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible)
- Knowledge of security technologies (e.g. firewalls, VPNs)
- Knowledge of backup technologies (e.g. Veeam, Backup Exec)
- Experience of working with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Zendesk)
