**Position - Oracle DBA Contractor**

**Duration - 6 months**

Overview of Role

The EMEA Database Services Team consists of 3 core areas: SQLServer, Sybase & Oracle. The group provides specialist DBA support to all of the Client's European businesses, including Private Client, Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Research.

What will I be doing? (Responsibilities)
- In the role you will support and maintain large Oracle databases covering the EMEA region:

- Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases on ASM/RAC on Linux/Exadata
- Oracle Goldengate
- Oracle Exadata
- Oracle DataGuard, RMAN, OEM 13c

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide database design support to development teams.
- Proactively work on the efficiency and capacity planning and documentation
- Have shared responsibility for backup, recovery and monitoring.
- Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines
- Deal with serious and critical production Oracle database issues in a timely manner.
- Deal with change requests and end-user queries for the systems that you will be the primary DBA for.
- Part of On-call rota for out of business hours operational support.

Essential Skills
- Oracle Database Administration (Oracle 11g/12c/19c) on Linux/Exadata
- SQL / PLSQL coding
- Performance tuning
- RAC Clustering
- Database Replication using Oracle Goldengate
- Oracle Data Guard
