Here at Swan, we have a great opportunity for a Painter and Decorator to join us on a full time, permanent basis working within our small, friendly team. You will be working with the Scheme Manager to provide an on-site painting and decorating service for all Keyworkers. The site is home to keyworkers predominantly based in Colchester. This service has a range of mixed accommodation types ranging from on call and overnight rooms, to longer more permanent accommodation.
**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;**
- Prepare and decorate residential accommodation and communal areas to a high standard
- Identify, report and repair issues within properties quickly and efficiently
- Deliver a professional service with mínimal disruption to customers
- Assist with general maintenance, lifting, installation and clearance of items
- Ensure maintenance deadlines are met and accommodation standards are maintained
- Record, plan and monitor works on Swan’s IT systems

What we're looking for*:

- The ability to identify, prepare, decorate and finish surfaces to a high standard
- Good oral and written communication skills
- IT literate
- Excellent customer service with relationship building skills
- The ability to travel to and work from other locations to meet the needs of the business
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation
- A recognised qualification in painting and decorating or a similar, relevant field will be beneficial
