Health, Safety and Facilities Coordinator

A market leading Electronics Manufacturing business is recruiting for a**Health, Safety and Facilities Coordinator**, to be based at a manufacturing facility near to **Chatham, Kent**.
**Main Purpose of the Role**:
As a Health, Safety and Facilities Coordinator you will be working closely with the Compliance Manager to drive health and safety initiatives on a busy manufacturing site.
**Working Hours**:
Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm, and Friday 8:30am - 4pm.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing all health and safety practices at the site.
- Driving health and safety improvements.
- Auditing
- Writing risk assessments and SOPs
- Carrying out health and safety inspections
- Organising and managing external contractors, ensuring they are working safely on site which includes checking permits to work.
- Working with external bodies such as local authorities.
- Report writing and presenting to management and senior management teams.
- Managing the H&S Committee
- Supporting the sustainability committee and assist the group with any new initiatives.
- Providing H&S training i.e., manual handling, Work at height etc
- Any other duties considered necessary by the compliance Manager
**To Be Considered**:
- Proven experience within a Health & Safety role, within a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience working under the ISO standards, as follows: ISO9001, 14001 & 45001
- Neebosh or other Health and Safety qualifications are a great advantage for this position.
- Ability to write reports and present at a senior level, is desirable experience.
- Strong organisational, communication and analysis skills are essential for this role.

- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own workload
