**Warehouse & Delivery Operative Job Description**

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse & Delivery Operative to join our team. The individual must be efficient in time management and must have strong organisational skills in order to be able to support the daily operations within and outside the warehouse. They must be able to positively interact with other people and establish good working relationships with all employees and client personnel. The job responsibilities include both clerical and manual tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive incoming deliveries and verify their contents against purchase orders
- Unload and load deliveries using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Work independently and with team members to move various furniture items around warehouse
- Load deliveries accurately for installations against project sheets
- Update IT systems and processes with good in
- Correspond with colleagues in person and on IT systems, updating project progress
- Deliver smaller items to site
- Assist in stock recording and stock maintenance
- DIY skills
- confident building smaller items/ flat pack furniture efficiently
- Wrapping furniture, artwork, mirrors and accessories ready for collection and delivery
- Support installations when needed, delivering furniture, removing packaging, DIY skills to build smaller items of furniture
- General maintenance of main warehouse, upstairs warehouse and surrounding areas, prioritising organisation and upkeep
- Disposal or recycling of all packaging materials/refuse created by the warehouse or returning from installation
- Reports to the Operations Project Manager on day to day
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Proficient in stock management, shipping and receiving procedures, load/unload techniques.
- DIY skills
- Experience driving Luton van in and around London & the South East

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,372.00-£23,809.00 per year
