**About us**

Please note that this role is based in our Warwick office with no scope for remote working.

As a Transmission Control Room Person/Operator in the Transmission Network Control centre (TNCC), you will be on the front line of electricity transmission on our high voltage network.

Within this role, you’ll be responsible for network alarm monitoring as well as switching on transmission assets, releasing plant for maintenance and construction works as well as fault rectification. On a daily basis you’ll be liaising with site engineers, customers, and Power Stations, switching circuits around the Network.

This position is a safety critical role for which you’ll be required to achieve an authorisation before being assigned responsibilities. To ensure competence of Transmission Control Room Persons/Operators, the TNCC provides a bespoke training and authorisation programme, giving employees the confidence and support needed to carry out this pivotal safety critical role.

**About You**

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of a HNC in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)

Interpersonal skills
- Great communication skills and experience liaising with customers and/or stakeholders.
- Ability to use logic to solve problems and keen to learn.
- An interest in electricity transmission and the drive to build a network to enable Net Zero.
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm.
- High situational awareness and confidence to ask for support when necessary.

Technical or specialist skills
- An understanding of the electricity network within the UK
- Experience within the Electricity industry or a control room environment (desirable)

**What You'll get**

A competitive salary between £38,000 - £55,000 dependent on capability, plus a 10.4% shift allowance.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
