Venn Group are pleased to have partnered with a highly regarded education organisation source a creative, professional and personable Communications Officer for the following permanent position:
Location: Cambridge

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 25 a week

Rate: £34.5 (pro rata)

Your duties will include:

- Planning, creating and evaluating regular communications across all channels to all audiences
- Collaborating with key stakeholders
- Assisting the Head of Communications to manage the key social media channels and to prepare compelling content appropriate for the diverse audiences of those channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok
- Assisting the Head of Communications to prepare the e-newsletters and print publications as needed, including photo research, story-writing and editing/fact-checking/proofreading
- Using analytics tools to evaluate the effectiveness of social media, brand recognition and website engagement
- Attending events in order to take photographs and record video to share with the community.
- Monitoring external communications sources and media for news stories of interest to the community, and for reputational risks
- Experience of working in a communications role and utilising multimedia approaches
- Knowledge of social media platforms and management tools, including evaluation analytics
- Practice using desktop publishing software designing communications material for public audiences
- Experience of writing for/production of publications
- High standard of spoken and written English for formal and informal communications
- Ability to communicate effectually, speak confidently and articulately, and write effectively for a range of audiences on a range of issues
