Waking Night Care Assistant

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, a good communicator, and shows dignity and respect towards others, to become a waking night personal care assistant.

As a PA you’ll support a young lady who has complex health needs, by working a waking night on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You’ll work in her home in the Sunbury-Upon-Thames area, from 10pm through to 7am.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming,
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and techniques.
- Assist with medication
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as hourly blood sugar checks, blood pressure and temperature.
- Help manage clients pain overnight.
- Assist with meals
- Perform housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, stripping and making beds, hovering, and dusting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Whilst experience is not needed for this position you do need:

- To be a quick thinker in situations that can be unexpected.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to have a calm nature due to the employer being neurodiverse.
- To be a non-smoker (employer has allergies)
- Be able to understand that the employer is looking for someone with a caring nature and that they need care and are not just a number or a job.
- Be able to take direction as the employer is in extreme pain.
- Willing to be flexible and learn new tasks as well as following a routine.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 27 per week
