Not many companies have a dedicated building, specifically for Training, Learning & Development, but SCC do.

We have built and officially opened The SCC Academy, and while it will be used across a breadth of training requirements, it will have a strong focus on developing our future technical talent and this is where we need you

This brand new role, working as SCC Academy Programme Lead, will be to identify & manage the appropriate technical training programmes for the delegates, with the overall aim of ensuring SCC has the right level of technical skills within the business as well as a pipeline of external talent at it’s disposal.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Design, develop and launch a development programme for internal and external talent ensuring that our talent pipeline across the business is constant
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to determine which individuals in our business could be supported with additional training programmes and ensuring they are placed on the relevant path to support their ambitions
- Identify and liaise with local & national providers, as well as all internal business units to identify training needs
- Build, design and create programmes that utilise our SCC Academy to attract technical talent and develop our workforce-ready skills
- Work with the SCC Academy to create, develop and manage technical and soft skills training programmes to fit organisational requirements
- Own the management and implementation of learning cycles for all individuals on development programmes whether that be apprentices, graduates, early career, or internal development for those looking to pivot their career
- Responsible for building high-quality and engaging programmes including self-study, e-learning, and instructor-led courses
- Create talent development plans and career routes focused on specific technical needs
- Work with our internal Talent Acquisition Team to attract talent to fill the programmes on offer

**Key skills & experience**:

- Knowledge in the relevant technological fields (AWS, Microsoft, Azure etc.) to be able to identify training requirements across our business
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications or AWS (plus)
- Possess solid technical aptitude as well as the ability to build strong relationships with all areas of the organisation and external customers
- Experience of designing, monitoring and reviewing technical and soft skills training programmes
- Ability to grasp new technological concepts quickly
- Ability to align content with delivery and objectives
- Certifications such as CTT+ (certified technical trainer) is a strong asset
