**Background to Pioneer**

Pioneer Projects (Celebratory Arts) is a wellbeing focused creative arts organisation based in Bentham but operating across the Craven District with over 25 years’ experience supporting those at risk from poor mental health. Our aim is to promote positive mental health and provide better life chances for these individuals by using the power of creative engagement to improve wellbeing, foster inclusion, empower choice, build confidence, increase skills, and promote progression into volunteering, education, employment, or meaningful community activity. We currently run three principal delivery programmes for Mental Health, Dementia, and Community Arts.

**Key Responsibilities**

This is a new creative and wellbeing focused role at Pioneer. It sits underneath the Creative & Wellbeing Projects

Manager who has overall responsibility for managing our delivery programme. It will sit alongside an established permanent team of two Keyworkers (who facilitate participant engagement and provide wellbeing and skills assessments, goal setting, and progression support) and a sessional team of Creative Leads (who deliver wellbeing focused creative activity).

The Creative Facilitator position expands on the sessional Creative Lead roles by introducing a permanent position with increased **creative** responsibilities for project co-ordination across a number of groups, design and delivery of activities. This role will support the Creative and Wellbeing Manager in the organisation of related exhibitions and celebration events and also provides holiday and sickness cover when needed for other Creative Leads. As such it will require some co-ordination of the sessional Creative Lead team under the guidance of the Creative & Wellbeing

Projects Manager. The role will also support the Keyworker team by providing additional **facilitation** support around caseload management, engagement, assessments, and goal setting for those participating in activity but not requiring progression support. As a member of the permanent staff team, the Creative Facilitator will, under guidance from the Creative & Wellbeing Projects Manager, also provide a crucial link between the Creative and Keyworker teams.

The role will be split between delivery locations in both North and South Craven and will initially involve activity in Bentham, Settle, Skipton and Glusburn.
