Craven, United Kingdom Pioneer Projects (celebratory Arts) Ltd Full time

**Job Summary**

Whilst creativity is at the heart of our work, we are as interested in where creativity can take people as much as creativity itself. Our Keyworkers play a crucial role empowering and enabling vulnerable participants with significant barriers to engagement to not just access our creative activities, but to use them as a framework for personal growth and springboard to community involvement and progression. They also play an important local role, helping develop and grow the community network that make these progressions possible including supporting wider use of the Compass in Craven online health & wellbeing resource which

Pioneer administrates (full training in the use of Compass is provided).

Responsible to the Creative & Wellbeing Projects Manager and working alongside our creative team and staff from partner organisations, the Keyworker manages a caseload of vulnerable participants for whom they provide: assessment, review, and goal planning support; support to take part in Pioneer activities; information, advice and guidance on progression towards volunteering, learning, employment or increased community involvement and; signposting and/or referral into other support. The Keyworker also supports the wider Pioneer team to record and manage participant data using the web based Compass Client Record Information Service and shares responsibility for managing the overall Compass in Craven website, encouraging and supporting other local organisations to sign up to and use the system. Work needs to be delivered in both face-to-face and remote settings that can overcome long term challenges such as the poor public transport and rurality of

Craven District or shorter-term challenges such as the COVID 19 pandemic of 2020.

This role requires a confident, organised, can-do person, who: sees peoples’ potential, not their limitations; understands the power of creativity to positively impact on individual wellbeing and unlock this potential; has the skills, sensitivity, and experience to support vulnerable participants; is confident in doing personal assessments, reviews and goal setting; is IT literate and able to support others to use technology effectively and; is able to build effective local networks that ensure our support is a journey, not a destination.

**Main Responsibilities & Duties**

**Facilitation Support**
- Managing a caseload of vulnerable participants to engage with Pioneer’s support in both face-to-face and remote settings. Initially this will be around

25 participants from The Mental Health and Wellbeing Network Hubs in

Craven experiencing or at risk of poor mental health. Higher caseloads will be shared with other members of the staff team.
- Personalised 1-1 wellbeing assessments, goal setting and review (using the online Compass Client Record Service). Participants are supported to do these 3 times a year to ensure they shape, understand, and maximise the impact of their engagement at Pioneer.
- Supporting other Pioneer staff to use the Compass Client Information Record

Service (CRIS) for assessments, goal setting and reviews. The Keyworker will be required to support local organisations and their volunteers to use compass and CRIS to record participant data and refer participants into Pioneer

Projects as well as other organisations.
- Support to enable participant engagement in creative groups. Initially this will involve working with a Creative Lead artist within our Wellbeing and Network

Hubs to deliver monthly and weekly groups.

**Progression Support**
- Regular 1-1 support sessions provided to a smaller number of participants on the caseload who are wanting to progress into volunteering, learning, paid employment, or increased community activity. Initially this is likely to be around 15 participants based in Craven, averaging a session every two weeks, though there may be a requirement to provide remote progression support to participants in other parts of the district.
- Signposting and referral to other support. This will include use of the Compass in Craven on-line resource to identify and refer into other appropriate organisations.

**Network Development**
- Supporting the Keyworkers (North and South Craven) with administration for the Compass in Craven on-line resource. Compass is already used by over

150 community, health, and social care organisations across Craven and, though not usually time consuming, requires administration on a regular basis.
- Supporting the Keyworkers (North and South Craven) with registration of new users for the Compass in Craven on-line resource. We are aiming to increase system usage to 200 organisations.
- Supporting the Keyworkers (North and South Craven) to provide functionality support to existing users of Compass. Pioneer are already starting to use its internal tools such as CRIS (Client Record Information Service) and MARS

(Multi-Agency Referral System) and we aim to support around 10 other organisations to explor
