Trainee Buyer

Ferns Surfacing have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Buyer to join our our small, friendly Purchasing team, based at our state of the art Head Office in Maidstone.

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and progress their career within our Procurement Department. No day is the same you'll be helping us to buy a variety of items from a bag of sand to 19 tonne Diggers

**The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training to achieve the following responsibilities**:

- Raising Purchase Orders for materials & services
- Expediting deliveries to ensure continuity of supply
- Liaising with suppliers and monitoring their performance on delivery & quality
- Building close relationships with internal stakeholders
- Promoting & abiding by best procurement practices
- Raising & amending material lines, prices & suppliers on our system
- Supporting the Procurement Manager with projects & cost down activities
