Do you care about the environment and enjoy being outdoors? Do you enjoy problem solving and going above and beyond to offer the best quality service every time? Do you have a passion for speaking to people? If the answer to these questions is “yes, absolutely” then this is the role for you
**EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW**
We have a new opportunity to join Severn Trent’s Waste Customer Networks team covering the Leicestershire region This team is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, improvements, and repair of our amazing waste network.
The Customer Jetting Operative role will require you to work in a two-person team. You’ll be responsible for resolving various issues and offering our customers when they need you the most. You’ll be working within our communities, focusing on resolving issues such as blocked sewers, using an array of impressive vacuum, jetting and blockage clearing equipment.
You will do all of this and give an amazing customer experience.
Other things you may be involved in are:
- Carrying out CCTV surveys of drainage systems to maintain, diagnose and determine the most appropriate solution.
- Liaising with other departments including our control centre, operations, and maintenance.
- Working within confined spaces and working at heights.
- Operating your vehicle in compliance with road transport legislation and Severn Trent policies and procedures.
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained in a clean & roadworthy condition both internally and externally.
**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**
Great news is you don’t need to have any experience, just the right attitude and a desire to learn along with:
- A passion for doing a quality, right first-time job, together with good attention to detail, to ensure you get to the root cause of issues and get them fixed.
- Self-motivation, the ability to work as a team as well as autonomously and have an excellent work ethic
- The ability and desire to build strong relationships with customers
- Strong organisation skills with an interest in problem solving
- This role will also involve driving larger vehicles so a HGV Class 2 or Category C license is required.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities.
We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
**WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU**
Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.
With that in mind, here are just some of our favourite's perks that you’ll get being part of the Seven Trent family:
