Bedford, United Kingdom East of England Ambulance Service Trust Full time

The role of the Ambulance Care Assistant involves the transportation of non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude

To transport vulnerable patients to and from hospital appointments, to convey discharges from care homes and hospitals in a timely manner,to converse daily with control to ensure our patients arrive on time.

We can offer you clinical training to standards that allow you to be competent as a ‘First Person On Scene’, patient transport driver training, and a full uniform. Every day is different as an ACA and you could really make a difference to our patients.

Once you have successfully completed your training period you will be allocated a base station which is strictly for administrative and management purposes only.
