**Wanted: A sub-editor for the new age of digital content.**
**Flexible/remote working opportunities would be considered.**
Citywire is looking for a sub-editor who can rise to the challenge of an exciting new digital content age. That means working across a range of formats from online news stories and ezines to videos and infographics.
Stories, headlines, standfirsts, explanations of graphics and video titles; there are words in every one of those formats, and we need someone quick and meticulous to ensure they look, sound and read right.
So, yes, a good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign would be very useful, but more importantly, you should have some digital skills and the desire and ability to learn more.
You’ll be a key member of a seven-strong sub-editing team, working on content created to the highest production standards by an award-winning team of journalists, in-house graphic designers, ezine experts and videographers.
Citywire’s content is focused on the global asset management industry, so a working knowledge of the finance world would be a good thing but not a deal-breaker.
This role requires someone who has excellent comprehension, grammar and spelling skills, a determination to produce lively news copy and attention-grabbing headlines, an eye for detail, and a working knowledge of digital news publishing.
