Firefly are currently working with a fast paced FMCG business to recruit a Financial Accountant into their high growth finance team. This is a newly formed role, reporting into the UK Head of Accounting, with a focus on supporting work with the UK accountingteam managed entities within a global organisation. Primary responsibilities include management accounting tasks for month-end close activities with some financial reporting at year-end.

**The Role**
- Records supplier invoices
- Reconciling and processing queries effectively and efficiently for supplier support
- Month-end aged creditor reconciliation
- Processing month-end debtor entries
- Month-end aged debtor reconciliations
- Monthly bank reconciliations (cash-allocations performed by OTC outsourced team)
- Maintain relationships with banking team
- Posting the monthly payroll entries received from the Payroll department
- Monthly payroll reconciliations and clearing accounts
- Pension, medical, tax and other payroll benefits ownership
- Maintain the fixed asset register module along with monthly reconciliations
- Prepare and post journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals etc.
- Intercompany transactions to other companies
- Reconcile, analyse, and clear balance sheet accounts
- Maintaining the VAT register for VAT returns and submissions
- Manage any other South Africa tax & compliance related matter partnering with our local fiscal advisors
- Key Stakeholders - Head of Accounting, UK CFO, Senior Financial Accountant & Team, Head of FP&A & Team

**About You**
- Relevant experience in a Finance/Accounting role
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- Finance experience in an international corporate structure and matrix organisation
- Microsoft Office essential (Advanced Excel, Basic Word and PowerPoint)
- ERP Oracle and Hyperion Planning experience preferred
- Takes a partnership approach, team player
- Communicates concisely with tact & sensitivity, invites feedback
- Analytical & Problem Solving
