Junior Accessories Buyer

LuxDeco is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Accessories Buyer to join our luxury interiors business. As Junior Accessories Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and procuring high-quality home accessories that align with our brand's aesthetic and meet the expectations of our discerning clientele. You will play a crucial role in curating our collection, ensuring a diverse and exclusive range of products that solidify our brand's reputation in the luxury interiors market.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Product Development**
- Source and select accessories that align with our luxury brand image, target market, and design aesthetics
- Conduct thorough product evaluations, including quality assessments and material inspections
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure product specifications and requirements are met
- Upload new products and brands on our website, while managing the long tail of products
- Manage the procurement process, alongside the supply chain department
**Supplier Management**
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and artisans
- Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers while ensuring high-quality standards
- Carry out annual term reviews of your suppliers
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for improvement through audits & best practice sharing
**Commercial**
- Stay updated with the latest trends, designs, and innovations in the luxury furniture industry
- Conduct market research to identify emerging furniture designers, manufacturers, and suppliers
- Work in coordination with sales and marketing teams to support promotional activities and sales strategies.
**Reporting**
- Analyse brand pricing and positioning versus competitors
- Report on brand performance (commercially and operationally), including quality feedback
**Key Interactions**
- Supply Chain: aligning on best practice with each brand, acting as escalation contact for any operational issues
- Marketing: partnering on initiatives such as promotion campaigns, look-books, etc...
- E-Commerce: understanding our online experience and buying behaviour of our customers
- Sales & Design: understanding the requirements for our B2B2C team
- Customer Service: understanding the voice of the customers, translation into brand portfolio improvements
- Finance: optimising payment options with brands, and understanding the profitability of each brand
**CORE ROLE KPIs / METRICS**:
- Product / brand conversion rate
- % of brands scoring GREEN, driven by commercial performance and operational metrics (on-time delivery, quality)
- % of brands in direct-to-consumer shipment
**ABOUT YOU**:
**Essential**:
- Proven experience as aJunior Buyer or similar role in the luxury interiors industry
- **Aesthete**: You put quality first in everything you do, always delivering with a perfect balance of commerciality and creativity. You have an in-depth knowledge of luxury furniture trends, brands, and suppliers
- **Customer-obsessed**: You have an intricate understanding of the LuxDeco customer and use this to support your brands in achieving success
- **Entrepreneurial**:You are a self-starter who thrives working in an ambitious, fast paced environment, always looking to drive positive change
- **Data-driven**: You have an analytical mindset with the ability to analyse market data and make data-driven decisions
- **Kind**:You are a positive, engaging and considerate leader who understands that success is only achieved in collaboration with others
- You have strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent understanding of quality control processes and materials used in furniture production
- Ability to travel and visit vendors / trade shows across Europe
**Desirable**:
- **Qualification**: Qualification in Interior Design, Business or related field
- **Language**: Fluency in more than one language
