We are keen to speak to an individual who has the patience and resilience to engage young people from a variety of different backgrounds, nationalities and abilities. The school is located in a Christchurch and emphasis will be placed on supporting learnerswho have complex needs as well as those requiring specific support. This is a unique opportunity owing to the fact that the individual will be exposed to a number of different departments and thus gain an appreciation of the ways in which pupils develop atdiffering rates. Working to support a number of different teaching staff, the applicant will also be given the opportunity to cover full scale classes.

This role will also involve:

- Resource Development - creating relevant educational material for students to engage with.
- Behaviour Management - enforcing behaviour policies as well as gaining experience within the inclusion department, working with excluded students.
- Intervention/1:1 Sessions - providing small group interventions for pupils who would benefit from extended support.

The school is able to offer the applicant a training package to get them up to speed with key school issues, as well as the school’s overall ethos for looking to ensure that every student is able maximise their potential.
