About the Role

At our Aylesford site we are looking to recruit goods in/out admin persons in our factory. You will work within a team in a fast-paced environment reporting to the Goods in/Goods Out Manager. You will be responsible for the checking and receiving and making sure the forklift drivers are moving products around the factory, you will also be responsible for updating the system with the correct information about the goods coming in and leaving the site.

In this role you will be required to raise delivery notes for external and internal clients, ensuring the details match the products leaving the site.

All reports required by Supply Chain Manager will need to be fulfilled daily for his visibility and the traceability of the company.

Health and safety is a very important aspect within our business and you will be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.

The role requires you to work with a variety personnel within your area of production.

Hours of work

You will be required to work 40 hours a week on a shift pattern of 09.00 to 17.00, You will work on an annualised contract where during our Peak times from August to October, you will be expected to work 48 hours a week Monday to Saturday on the same shift basis and we will then give you these days off during our quiet periods.

About you
- Experienced PC knowledge
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of good health and safety practices
- Proven experience of working towards KPI’s and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills; both written and verbally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good Understanding off receiving stock and checking paperwork
- The ability to make informed decisions
- Comfortable speaking in group meetings
