The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS) is an exciting partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police. Our aim is to provide a first class, professional, HR and payroll shared service for around 20,000 employees and customers across both organisations.
We are looking for a HR Systems and Data Specialist, to join our dynamic Systems and Data Team within the Greater Manchester Shared Service Centre. The role would suit an individual seeking a challenge in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused environment who has a passion for optimising technology to improve the delivery of a payroll, pensions and HR services.
**Main Purpose of this role**
The HR Systems and Data Team looks after the IT systems which our Human Resource colleagues and their employees use every day. As well as playing a key role in the development of a best-in-class service, the successful applicant will be able to provide a full system administration and user support for our core HR system; including systems maintenance and upgrades, testing, user security and development of new systems and modules.
In addition to this the System and Data Specialist will be required to be the expert in systems used by the HR Shared Service Centre and will be responsible for providing system users with the skills that they require through training, delivery, documentation and query management.

Trafford Council is located close to the centre of Manchester and employs around 8,000 staff, both full and part time in a wide range of jobs. The Council has a net budget of around £156m and serves a population of around 210,000.
