My client is a dynamic service business looking to grow through acquisition in a buoyant sector. They are seeking to pursue a buy and build strategy and create a group of businesses providing complimentary services to customers. Following an internal promotionthey are now looking for an experienced Management Accountant to support the Finance Director in supervising the accounts department. Previous experience of managing staff would therefore be useful in this role and if successful you can expect rapid developmentand progression into the position of Finance Manager.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Producing the month end board reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing cashflow forecasts to meet banking covenants
- Manage the year-end audit and accounts prep
- Produce quarterly VAT returns
- Controlling treasury and purchase ledger
- Supervise and develop a small team
- Ensure KPI’s and service levels are met
- Oversee process improvement projects

Previous experience of becoming a trusted business partner to non-financial managers will be very important in this role. Applicants would ideally be part or fully qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA with solid management and financial accounting experience withthe ability to work as part of a team and prioritise and delegate workload where necessary. If successful you will enjoy a number of attractive benefits including the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week.
