Do you enjoy offering structured support either one to one or in groups and ready to make a significant difference in substance misuse recovery? In this role, you'll utilise your expertise to assess and engage with those using our service, ensuring they receive timely, personalised sessions that address their needs.

Our York service is a new CGL Service, we are a collaborative community, where every member plays a vital role in creating positive change. From our service manager to our volunteers we work together to support individuals on their journey to recovery.

**Salary**: £16 per hour (inclusive)

**Responsibilities**:
Your primary focus will be on delivering one-to-one support or collaborative work, working closely with other staff within the project to utilise evidence-based practices addressing the specific needs of those accessing treatment and support with us.

**Role-specific responsibilities include**:

- Engaging those seeking support with substance use in effective, evidence-based, and recovery-focused treatment programs, including offering open access support, triage assessments, telephone screenings, needle exchange, and outreach activities.
- Supporting individuals from their initial contact with our service.
- Conducting screening, assessment, and recovery planning, and making necessary referrals.
- Reducing the harm related to drug and alcohol use for individuals and the wider community.
- Encouraging involvement from carers, service users, and the community.
- Providing advocacy to ensure access to partner services.

**About you**:

- ** Effective Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by proficient IT abilities.
- ** Proactive and Organised**: Being proactive, capable of working independently, and possessing strong time management skills.
- ** Experience in Support Work**: Have experience in managing individual dynamics
