Your new role

This is an opportunity to be part of a team that works across every part of our business. A team that is responsible for assuring compliance and assessing the risks and issues around the delivery of our company’s obligations and performance compliance againstthe Road Investment Strategy (RIS).

The role is varied.

You will be working across the Division and its teams to ensure data and information is provided in a timely manner for reporting.
It will give you an understanding of team performance assurance, the 'regulatory’ framework within which we operate and risks that need to be mitigated.
You will engage with our key external stakeholders the Department for Transport, Office for Rail and Road and Transport Focus.

With our drive for continuous improvement this is a maturing work area and specific responsibilities will develop and change over time, therefore the job holder will need to maintain a flexible and adaptable attitude and approach.

What you’ll be leading on

Whilst specific responsibilities will develop over time with continuous improvement, there are key areas pivotal to his role.

Quality assure, enter and maintain information on systems and files to ensure that information is up to date, accurate, in the right place and easily accessible.
Collate and compose information and prepare standard documents accurately and efficiently, to support the delivery of excellent service standards to internal and external customers.
Prepare data and undertake standard analyses, drawing data from a variety of sources to bring together reports to support management decision making.
Act as a point of contact internally and externally, to resolve issues, to answer standard enquiries and to contribute to the development of relationships.
Manage and organise meetings and travel arrangements, providing coordination support to staff where required, to ensure that operational needs are met.
Undertake ad hoc administrative duties as and when required, ensuring accurate, timely, delivery and that relevant policies and procedures are followed.
To be successful

Experience of working effectively with others in an office environment or delivering an efficient customer service
Previous experience of providing administrative support
Effective time engagement enabling work to be delivered against agreed timescales
Strong organisational skills
Good communication, able to give and receive information effectively
