A Spitroast Supervisor runs service in the absence of management, reporting to the General Manager.

As a Supervisor you will need:

- First Aid training certificates are essential
- Previous experience handling cash essential
- Previous experience working in busy restaurant essential
- Excellent Customer service knowledge essential
- Common Sense and a positive attitude are a must
- Level 1 Food Safety
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
- Experience of barista equipment
- Experience of dangerous equipment in the restaurant environment
- Competent level of English spoken, written and computer literate

Working as a Supervisor in a fast paced hospitality environment, you will gain a vast cross section of transferable skills such as organisation, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, diligence and attention-to-detail that can be utilised in many roles and industries.

Your training journey will include (but are not exhaustive of);
- The close down procedure and delegation of duties to the team - knowing the opening and closing hours and what you can do if the night is quiet eg. sending staff home early, closing a section of seating, cleaning duties and other busy jobs.
- Locking the door before opening the cash drawer
- Closing the till down
- Understanding the sales figures and finalising cash and card reports and any till trouble shooting
- Checking staff hours and amending the clock in/out if necessary
- Polaris entry of figures and closing the daily input - Trouble shooting tips of problems you might encounter
- Stock take and ordering of goods
- Checking the kitchen fridges are all closed, doors are secure and gas is off.
- Ensuring all delivery tablets are switched off and electrics not needed on are off
- Setting the Alarm code and locking the building before closing the shutters
