Data Quality Assistant

JOB SUMMARY
To work in a team under the guidance of the Operations Manager to provide a level of data excellence and finance support to the four Practice surgeries. There will be a need to gain an insight into existing procedures, protocols and working practices, as well as preparation and movement towards further changes in clinical and IT strategies at the practice.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
**Data Quality and Healthcare Administrator**:
- Support and assist the Data Quality and Finance teams under instruction from the Operations Manager.
- Input data accurately and in a timely manner on a daily basis.
- Create and run clinical audits on daily basis or as required.
- Ensure an excellent quality of data recording.
- Process a large amount of clinical results on a daily basis.
- Give support by means of advice and assistance to staff and Partners throughout the four Practice surgeries.
- Coding letters e.g. immunisations, diabetes, nasal swabs.
- Sending out invite or follow up letters to patients weekly and monthly.
- Updating patient details (amendments and deductions).
- Managing temporary patient registrations accordingly.
- Coding of vaccinations.
- General administration work.
- INR Star process management.
- Registration workflow admin in EMIS.
- Support nurse clinical lead in screening process.
- Receive, analyse and distribute lab results.
- Maintain good working relations with suppliers and health authorities.
- To provide a communication link between suppliers and the Practice.
- Comply with strict NHS confidentiality and data protection legislation.
- To provide holiday/absence cover for the Data Quality and Finance teams
**Finance support**:
- Cashing up of prescription monies and income from cash sales.
- Reconcile OTC (over the counter) banking payments.
- Maintain the petty cash float.
- Providing support to the Finance Manager.
- Banking cheques and maintaining income records.
- Update the ‘death list’ with all new deaths and ensure the Practice receives any monies to which the Practice is entitled.
- General administration work.
- Maintain good working relations with suppliers and health authorities.
- To provide a communication link between suppliers and the Practice.
- Comply with strict NHS confidentiality and data protection legislation.
- To provide holiday/absence cover for the Data Quality and Finance teams
