As a Global Supply Planner, you will be a key player in managing and supporting supply operations within our Global Sourcing Planning team. Your role will be crucial in collaborating with vendors and Pentland business stakeholders to ensure we meet our key performance indicators (KPIs).
Focusing on our Berghaus brand, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with our vendors, coordinating capacity and materials bookings, placing purchase orders via SAP and Nexus systems, tracking production, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
**About the role**:
**Coordination**: Oversee production capacity and material bookings with vendors.
**Planning**: Develop and communicate global buy plans with our regional merchandising teams.
**Buying Cycle Management**: Handle the monthly buying cycle, ensuring purchases align with the seasonal buying calendar.
**Order Management**: Create and manage direct delivery and distribution center purchase orders within SAP and Nexus systems.
**Production Monitoring**: Track production plans with our global vendor base to ensure business requirements are met.
**Vendor Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support Pentland's strategic direction.
**Onboarding Support**: Assist in onboarding new vendors and provide guidance on Pentland processes.
**KPI Reporting**: Generate key performance indicator reports to support vendor reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Cost Management**: Manage raw material liabilities and coordinate with teams to minimize waste and costs.
**Critical Path Monitoring**: Keep track of department critical path activities.
**Cost Oversight**: Manage additional costs from vendors.
**Non-Conformance Management**: Identify and address non-conformances against agreed processes.
**Support**: Provide assistance across the global sourcing planning function when necessary.
**About you**:
Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain planning.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
Proficiency in SAP / other relevant supply chain management systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive informed decision-making.
Proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
