Work with suppliers to obtain delivery dates, improve due dates, and minimise back orders, invoice queries, and customer complaints.Manage Inventory optimisation to balance overall stock value against holding the right stock at the right time, and minimise obsolescence and expired products.Key ResponsibilitiesPlace orders with suppliersExpedite parts from suppliers and other alternative sources to fill backorders promptlyEnsure a robust supply of products to ensure back orders are kept to a minimum, whilst optimising inventory holdingMaintain an efficient and effective communication channel with suppliers to ensure they perform on overdue deliveries, on-time delivery, and customer complaintsEnsure a high level of inventory accuracy by liaising with the warehouse to ensure actioning of stock adjustments, stock transfers, customer returns, and supplier non-conformances.Ensure invoice queries are resolved and, where applicable, credit notes are received promptly.Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and execute the necessary adminstrative tasks to deliver on the requisite KPI’sCross functional interaction with Care Centres, Distribution Centre and Finance with the aim of having products avaliable for Customers or, alternatively, having the delivery information available to key stakeholdersProduce KPI report (e.g. back orders, slow moving stock) to make operational performance and trends visibleParticipate in supply chain improvement projectsMaintain master data, ensuring a high level of integrityPerformance will be measured based on Supply chain efficiency, inventory value, backorders, and master data integrityKey RequirementsEducated to O’Level / GCSE standardExperience in a similar working environmentWork as part of a teamThe ability to prioritize workloadThe ability to take direction and work to deadlinesExcellent communication/ listening skillsComputer literate including all MS Office programsEducation/ QualificationsEducated to O’Level / GCSE standardB.S or B.A degree in an applicable field is a plus, but not essentialComputer literacy skills including MS OfficeWorking conditionsCore working hours – Mon – Fri 8-4 or 9-5 on a weekly rota, with flexibility to cover team holidays/ sickness as required.Hybrid working – a Minimum of 2 days per week in the office, driven by business requirements, as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working.To be available one weekend per annum (usually November) for the whole warehouse stocktake.Additional Job DescriptionAt Convatec, we're pioneering trusted medical solutions to improve the lives we touch.
