**1:1 Support Worker for Student with Complex Needs in SEN School**:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a 1:1 Support Worker in our SEN school.

**Position** : 1:1 Support Worker

**Location** : Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

**Contract Type**: [Full-time/Part-time, Temporary/Permanent]

As a 1:1 Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping a specific student with complex needs achieve their goals and foster their overall development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the student, their parents/guardians, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized learning plans to address the student's individual needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to the student throughout the school day, both inside the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
- Assist the student in their academic pursuits, social interactions, and emotional regulation, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to adapt learning materials and techniques to suit the student's learning style and abilities.
- Monitor the student's progress and record observations to track their development and communicate updates to the relevant stakeholders.
- Handle any challenges that may arise, such as behavioral difficulties or medical concerns, in a calm and professional manner.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the school, encouraging the student's participation in group activities and promoting their social integration.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working with students with complex needs or special educational needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of different learning styles, behavioral management strategies, and communication techniques.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with special needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Ability to adapt and think creatively to address the unique challenges presented by the student's complex needs
