**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HGVs, LCVs, and plant/tools to industry standards.
- Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle and equipment issues.
- Carry out MOT preparations and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate service records and job sheets.
- Ensure all workshop tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
- Provide technical advice and support to less experienced team members when necessary.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience working as a mechanic on HGVs and LCVs.
- Knowledge of workshop tools and small equipment maintenance and repair.
- Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to high standards of workmanship.

**Desirable**:

- Experience working in a busy commercial fleet environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £160.00-£180.00 per day
