This role is for managing our structures team as well as an expectation to engage and lead on project delivery, win work and grow the team, whilst leading by example and upfolding Mott MacDonald values and code.- Take a leadership role in ensuring that our team is servicing our projects and focus areas; and that the team grows to reflect our service commitment in those growth areas.
- Ability to spread knowledge and delegate functions within the team to ensure that our staff can contribute to the strategic direction of the team, at any grade

- You will be responsible for**Growth**
- Working alongside Growth community to secure work within existing Framework and grow new opportunities.
- Embedding a culture that understands our clients and tailors our offering to their needs.
- Identify key target markets/clients and develop go-to-market strategies.
- Champion and communicate strategy/plan, ensure key decisions are aligned.

**People**
- Working alongside People community to ensure our staff are staff, engaged and able to excel.
- Act as a role model for Health, Safety and Wellbeing for the team.
- Be Line Manager to circa 45 staff reporting directly or indirectly to them located in a combination of client office, Mott MacDonald Offices, and remote working.
- They manage portfolio resources and attend resource meeting to ensure optimal resource levels are maintained.
- They will foster a team dynamic within the team and across the wider Portfolio to ensure all staff are fully engaged and feel part of Mott MacDonald.
- They will create an environment where people are motivated, encouraged and empowered to be their best. Encourage inclusion and diversity across the team and wider unit. Support career development and help create opportunities for our people through talent management and succession planning.

**Operations**
- Working alongside Operations community to ensure excellence in quality, efficiency whilst remaining profitable.
- The lead will support project delivery, engaging expertise where required from across the Unit and wider Mott MacDonald
- They will manage and show leadership in risk management and commercial performance.
- They will ensure compliance with Mott MacDonald business management and quality assurance processes.
- They will run appropriate team meetings with staff, clients, and senior level management.
- They will report management information into monthly senior leadership meetings.
- Experience in Delivering major projects in the UK with Scotland experience beneficial
- Experience in managing large and diverse teams and engagement with line management duties and staff welfare.
- Professionally qualified with a relevant body.
- A passion for continuous improvement and finding a better way.
- To lead by example, live the Mott MacDonald code and embed within their team.
