**Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for talented and dedicated Healthcare Support Workers to work in a specialist Brain Injury Centre based in Langstone, Gwent. Prospero enjoys a strong relationship with this client so shifts will be offered on a regular basis.**

**Due to the location of the Hospital own transport there would be extremely advantageous, however public transport from Newport Centre is regular to and from the unit in the form of Buses.**

**Your Duties will include**:

- **Caring for residents within the unit that have acquired brain injury in their lives**:

- **Manual Handling equipment use ensuring that residents are allowed to enjoy a quality of life and still access facilities**:

- **Personal care to ensure that privacy and dignity are enjoyed and respected.**:

- **Engaging with residents to ensure they feel safe, calm and well looked after. This is key to their overall health and rehabilitation**:

- **Some restraint work maybe required if residents experience distress due to their conditions or medications.**
- **You must have over 6 months experience in the UK working in a similar environment (Nursing, Care, Support Work)**:

- **Restraint Training will be required for this role due to the safety of you and the residents. This can be offered by Prospero independently if required but having your own is a distinct advantage.**:

- **Previous experience with Manual Handling equipment would be most advantageous, however training again can be offered**:

- **You must hold a valid DBS certificate. If not we can help provide you with this at a small cost**:

- **Right to work in the UK**

**This job requires you to be able to get to and from the workplace of your own accord. Non-drivers welcome.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £12.50-£18.75 per hour
