**What will you be doing?**
Working within the Service Improvement and Assurance Team (SIAT), the Internal Assurance Administrator is responsible for conducting assurance activities to help support the management of controls, ensuring they are effective in mitigating process levelrisks for the Operational teams (Finance, HR, Customer Services and Procurement).
The key focus of the role is to ensure effective independent Quality Monitoring, First Line of Defence (FLoD) testing and compliance of processes to provide assurance and support the delivery of a quality service, ensuring that core controls are monitored.
- Key responsibilities will include:_
- Take ownership of and conduct monthly Quality Assurance across all the operations teams, collaborating with Team Leaders and colleagues to complete within specified timeframes
- Record Quality Assurance findings and collate the reports using MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel for monthly SMT meetings
- Provide Team Leaders and Managers with the outcomes of the Quality Assurance
- Monitor Quality Assurance findings and escalate any risks to the Internal Assurance Manager
- Conduct monthly sample testing across the Operations teams to ensure the controls defined within the Risk and Controls framework (RAC) are followed and fit for purpose
- Provide internal audits, on request from Operational teams, to target specific processes or controls where risks are identified
- Provide findings to the Internal Assurance Manager for feedback to management
- Identify areas for improvement to be reviewed by the Projects & CI Specialist to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of controls
**Who are we looking for?**
- Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:_
- Educated to Maths and English GCSE level (or equivalent qualifications) or proven comparable work experience
- Knowledge of the importance in ensuring data compliance within the business
- Experience of stakeholder engagement/building and maintaining effective professional relationships with colleagues
- General PC skills, including good working knowledge of MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to analyse and present numerical data in a clear and concise manner
- Key Skills:_
- Good organisational skills with an ability to manage and prioritise workload
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to solving problems through collection, organisation and analysis of information to identify appropriate solution
- Able to communicate at all levels, with good oral and written communication skills
