**SALARY**:£25,836 - £28,903 per annum + Excellent Benefits (see below)

**LOCATION**:Coventry, West Midlands - occasional off-site working may be required

**JOB TYPE**:Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**:36.5 hours per week averaged over 52 weeks that will include evenings and weekends.Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business which will require some longer shifts. It is expected that the large proportion ofannualised hours will be worked during undergraduate term times.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Graphic Designer with experience of design, print and digital media,who likes variety, is self-motivated and is looking to express themselves creatively in a friendly and hard working environment.

Working as a Graphic Designer you will be working on a variety of projects from branding and advertising, to designing functional and fully aesthetic marketing campaigns.

As a Graphic Designer no two days will be the same - you will support a busy Communications and Marketing team in designing printed materials such as posters and flyers, to engaging digital content for advertising screens and social media. You’ll createexciting graphics for the website and support the team in promoting their services, facilities and campaigns to a diverse audience.

**DUTIES**

Your role as a Graphic Designer will include:

- Provide graphic design support across the organisation using the Adobe CC packages (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Acrobat)
- Create new and update existing artwork for a variety of materials for print and online i.e. publications, posters, adverts, flyers, web and social banners
- Liaise with colleagues to discuss their design requirements, and respond to briefs for a variety of campaigns, projects and promotions
- Create initial design concepts for discussion with internal client
- Respond to feedback on drafts, making or challenging suggested changes
- Assist with all design processes and work with suppliers to design and produce artwork to printers’ specifications
- Use or learn to use Adobe animate to create engaging digital promotions
- Arrange printing, either by dealing directly with external suppliers, or printing and cutting posters to size internally
- Upload artwork to digital screens via the Content Management System
- Assist the Digital Applications Manager with design of digital elements for the website
- Undertake all administrative work in relation to the role
- Upkeep of in-house printers and print room

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Previous experience of working in-house, agency or freelance design
- Significant experience of working in a similar role
- A strong portfolio of marketing and promotional materials for print and digital media
- Degree or equivalent in Digital and Graphic Design or similar professional qualification
- Experienced in Adobe CC packages (in particular InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Acrobat)
- Must be creative and flexible
- Able to accept critical feedback or rejection of ideas
- Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Must be a quick learner, logical thinker and be able to process and interpret information in a timely manner
- Understanding of social media for marketing purposes
- The ability to deliver at all times exceptional customer service to all internal / external customers
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Able to work as part of a team and use own initiative
- Must be committed, positive and hardworking
- Committed to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in a Higher Education environment
- Able to create animated graphics and/or illustrations
- Photography and/or video skills
