Our **Service and Maintenance Division** provides tailored preventative maintenance programmes to meet each client’s unique operational needs. Our service expertise spans:
- LEL Gas Safety System Testing
- LEV System Measurement and Testing
- Central Duct Inspection and Servicing
- Thermal Oxidiser Servicing (including RTOs and Afterburners)
- Wet Scrubber and Bio Filtration System Servicing
- Burner Inspection, Testing, and Servicing
- Stack Emissions Testing (MCERTS Certified)
- Thermal Oil Sampling and Testing
- Personal Exposure Monitoring and Testing
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a **professional, organised, and proactive Service Coordinator** to join our Runcorn-based team. In this vital position, you will work closely with the Service Manager and wider team to ensure efficient planning, communication, procurement, and compliance across all service operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and coordination skills, preferably with experience in a service-based engineering environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the central client contact for planned service and maintenance activities.
- Manage and maintain the service planner and coordinate engineers’ schedules.
- Monitor internal KPIs to ensure timely completion and submission of site reports.
- Oversee goods in/out processes with accurate record-keeping.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, invoices, and acknowledgements via **Sage 50**.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance records for sub-suppliers and subcontractors (e.g., insurance, H&S, training).
- Keep internal health & safety and training documentation current.
- Liaise with suppliers to track order progress and delivery timelines.
- Support procurement by sourcing quotations for parts and materials.
- Handle incoming calls to the main switchboard and address queries professionally.
**Skills and Competencies**
**Essential**:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF
- Experience using accounting software (**Sage 50**)
- Strong time management and organisational capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in liaising with customers and suppliers
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently or in a team
- Positive, can-do attitude with a professional appearance
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience in a **service-based**, **engineering**, or **mechanical** environment
