**Job description - the role**

We are looking for a Funds / Asset Management Lawyer for a 9 months contract to support the Investments Legal team within M&G providing legal advice and input across various business units.

The role encompasses the full range of asset management skills covering legal advisory, fund/product structuring, drafting and negotiating fund documentation, investment management agreements and related documentation.

As a Funds / Asset Management Lawyer you will be responsible for:

- Giving legal advice to support the Investments Legal Team
- Fund and product structuring
- Drafting and negotiating investment management agreements, advisory agreements, fund documents, AIFM agreements, custody and depositary agreements, side letters, term sheets and distribution agreements.
- General asset management knowledge across various fund jurisdictions (specifically UK, Luxembourg, Ireland) and various fund structures (e.g. SICAVs, ICAVs, OEICs, SIFs, s110s, LPs) and the relevant regulatory framework applicable to asset managers (includingAIFMD, UCITs, MiFID, EMIR).
- Good understanding of fund structures and fund documentation across a range of asset classes including in relation to private/real assets.
- Drafting experience to include drafting and negotiating investment management agreements, advisory agreement, fund documents, AIFM agreements, custody and depositary agreements, side letters, term sheets, distribution agreements

**_The IR35 status of this assignment will be assessed following the selection process and prior to confirmation of assignment offer._**
