**What will you do?**

The production supervisor is responsible for supervising shop employees within a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position pro-actively plans and assigns work, continuously implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
- Supervises shop floor personnel throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensures full utilization of equipment, materials, and personnel to achieve maximum output.
- Coordinates with Operations Manager to meet customer demands and schedules.
- Responsible for training of personnel, safety, general maintenance of plant and machinery, reviews/assessments.
- Processes all production schedule paperwork issued to the shop floor.
- Responsible for developing and meeting all key manufacturing metrics, such as Variable Cost of Production (VCP), Product Quality performance, (OTD) On Time delivery & Environmental Health Safety and Security metrics.
- Manages a diverse production workforce consisting of machinists, hand skill employees and a professional staff of supervision, manufacturing, and production planning.
- Manages operating budget; covering wages/hours, shop supplies/tooling, vendors and rendered services.
- Ensure that day-to-day transactions of inventory and factory orders are completed with accuracy.
- Reviews and updates daily time sheets based on planned hours
- Reviews & maintains tool room operation and supplies
- Integrates engineering, project management, manufacturing engineers/supervisors, and operators into a cohesive team.
- Other job duties as required.

**What do we need from you?**
- Education in Production Systems, Manufacturing; preferred
- Welding (Mig, Tig and Spot welding) and Metal Fabrication skills; preferred
- Production safety, inventory management and manufacturing procedures experience (5 years); required
- Related Production Supervisor experience (2 years); required
