The Forum is a 38-52 week school and home for children and young people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other associated disorders in the heart of the Dorset Countryside.

**Purpose and Summary of the Job**

To assist in producing regular meals to form a well-balanced and nutritional diet for the students. This also involves making sure the kitchen is an efficient and happy place to work ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To attend any training as required, taking part in a positive manner.
- To help prepare, cook, serve food and drinks and clean in the kitchen, as required, complying with all regulations relating to food preparation, cooking and storage.
- To carry out all tasks according to any schedule of work and to the standards set out.
- To maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- To use materials in an effective and economic way

- To ensure that kitchen equipment is safe to use, maintained in working order and securely stored when not in use.

**Person Specification**
- Knowledge of methods of cleaning different surfaces and safe working practices.
- The ability to attending work reliably and punctually as well as following schedules and produce good quality work.
- Experience of working safely with tools, equipment and hazardous materials.
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
- Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm from others.
