**About the Role**:
We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to assist a male in his 40s with social activities, residing in South Shields. The role is a bank contract with a varied rota ranging from 5 to 12 hour shifts hours per week (no sleep-ins / nights), it involves 1:1 support, both in the client's home and out in the community. The client likes to get out and about including cycling.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accompanying the client on outings and social/leisure activities.
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment in the client's home, including household duties.
- The client doesn't have any mobility or personal care needs nor do they present any challenging behaviour.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English is crucial.
- A confident and sensitive approach to care, with respect for the client's independence.
- Experience in supporting individuals with brain injury or similar conditions.
- A full, valid UK driving license.
- Ability to empathise with the client and support appropriately.
- Preference for non-smokers.

Pay: £11.47-£22.94 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

**Experience**:

- caring for someone in their own home: 1 year (required)
- working with someone with a brain injury: 1 year (required)
- professional care (working for a care provider in the UK): 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- right to work full time in the UK without sponsorship (required)
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (required)
