Are you a small animal vet looking for a friendly, close-knit and independently owned small animal practice in Nottinghamshire? If so, we want to hear from you. Prospect Health are pleased to be working with a well-established practice offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate and caring veterinary surgeon to join their team.

The practice is located in Mansfield which is commutable to Nottingham and Sheffield and within reach of the Peak District, ideal for those that enjoy the great outdoors. The clinic itself is large and spacious with a loyal base and plenty of insured clients. The ethos of the practice is to provide a level of care that you would expect for your own pet. You'll have access to all the usually bits of kit that you'd expect in a progressive first opinion practice and will work alongside a professional, experienced and fun team of 4 vets, 4 nurses, 3 receptionists and a dedicated practice manager.

The position is open to those looking for full or part time and hours can be tailored to work around your out-of-work commitments. There is no Sundays, no OOH and no evening work (practice closes at 6pm every day). Consultations are 20 minutes, there is mínimal sole charge and plenty of support, to allow you to do your job without the additional stress of being over worked and under supported.

In return for your commitment to providing the level of care that you would expect for your own pet, you will be offered a very competitive salary (£45k+), generous holiday and CPD allowance with certificate funding available, a flexible working pattern, accommodation if needed, and support to progress in your clinical area of interest.

**Key Duties**
- Well-established, proudly independent small animal practice in Mansfield
- Friendly and experienced team of 4 vets, 4 nurses, 3 receptionists, and a dedicated practice manager
- Large spacious practice with excellent facilities
- Clinical freedom and encouragement to work cases up thoroughly
- Full-time 38hr per week
- Open to those looking for part-time 21-36 hours
- 4-day week, no OOH, no Sundays or Bank Holidays, no evening work (Practice closes at 6pm)

**Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements**
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
- Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months experience as a small animal vet
- Confident, kind, professional and empathetic to both the clients and their pets
