We are recruiting Assistant Materials Planner to assist the Material Planner to ensure there is stock to supply customer demands against scheduled supply agreements and sufficient holdings for general call off requirements. Liaison with customers for bespokeproducts. Monitoring and tracking items as required.

Main Duties
- Raise Purchase orders ensuring timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements and with Vendor Schedules / Customer Orders.
- Expedite and reschedule open purchase orders to suit production planning requirements.
- Stock receipt of goods shipped from suppliers
- Review historical data including sales trends, research demand drivers, material on time delivery, commodity spends within dedicated production cell. Coordinate research data to identify significant variances. Share, communicate and report on variancesto both internal and external supply chain.
- Liaise with colleagues - Commercial and Operations to understand demand forecast.
- Use and maintain Stock Control System as primary planning system tool.
- Regular stock checks and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Periodic stock valuations in order to identify aged profile for both standard items and stock held for Customers.
- Provide input in developing departmental strategies for inventory on existing items, new product introduction and phase outs.
- Reporting gathered information within production meeting environment.
- Create statistical reports:

- Gather, analyse and validate data.
- Share data with relevant departments and external suppliers.
- Develop relationships among production planners, commercial, production supervisors and quality which will help lead to effective knowledge sharing and optimising the forecast to better guide the company.
- Excellent systems and methods to continually improve forecast allowing the company to better anticipate customer needs.
