The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Planner who is eager to take on responsibility and progress within a supportive environment. You’ll work on a wide variety of projects, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and contributing to the future growth of the practice. This role offers genuine long‑term progression opportunities, including a pathway toward senior levels and potential future Partnership for the right individual. Key Responsibilities Act as a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact for clients Provide clear and accessible planning advice across a range of development proposals Prepare high‑quality reports, statements, and planning documentation Undertake desktop assessments and site visits Work independently and find creative solutions to planning challenges Collaborate closely with heritage specialists, barristers, and other professionals Attend and represent the consultancy at Planning Committees, Hearings, and Public Meetings Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of planning policy and legislation Contribute positively to a small, close‑knit, multi‑disciplinary team About You Chartered Member of the RTPI or working toward chartership Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and policy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Confident using Microsoft Office, Gmail, and planning tools Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Desirable (not Essential) Experience with CIL legislation, advertisement regulations, or footpath diversions Understanding of Judicial Review procedures Familiarity with Apple iMacs (training provided) Whats on Offer Competitive salary Flexible working arrangements Generous holiday allowance, with additional benefits after qualifying period Strong professional development support Mileage reimbursement Pension scheme Interested?
