(OFSTED, March 2019). If so, a role as a Family Support Worker at Armitage Primary School could be ideal for you.

You will be based at Armitage Primary School, but due to the nature of the role, on occasion, there will be outreach opportunities where you will be working with and supporting families in the community. Furthermore, as Armitage is part of a federation, there will also be the opportunity and scope to work across two schools.

We are looking for a member of staff to enhance our hardworking, professional team as a Family Support Worker, working alongside the Family Team.
- Have high expectations and the commitment to secure the best outcomes for children;
- Work alongside school and multi-agencies to safeguard children.
- Have experience of delivering individual or group based support.
- Promote high quality parenting at home.
- Support and engage parents/carers and their children in a school context.
- Work with parents/carers and additional agencies to achieve regular attendance.
- Liaise with other agencies and chair meetings where appropriate.
- Have excellent communication and team working skills.
- Work alongside the admin team to facilitate the school’s admissions.
- Have the ability to lead and plan lessons or workshops.
- Work flexibly under the direction of the Executive Headteacher.
