New Malden, United Kingdom Avantia Group Full time

**Our Company**

Avantia is a fast-paced, private equity owned business. We provide home insurance directly to online consumers and are the number one brand in complex home insurance in the UK.

Our vision is to deliver the world’s most intelligent property insurance. We are making great strides in achieving this by developing a rating engine and machine learning platform that rapidly adapts to new data sources, enabling risk and retail price optimization. We have the richest collection of home insurance claim and quote data in the market and combined with our machine learning algorithms, our performance improves daily, enabling us to put even more blue sky between us and the competition.

**Our Culture**

As the saying goes, we’re small but perfectly formed, in that we’re a diverse group of industry professionals, technologists, data scientists and customer champions. We each bring our individual expertise, an appetite for innovation and a shared ambition to do something extraordinary. And, although each week brings new challenges, every week we work as a team to meet them.

Most companies think their culture is great, however at Avantia, we have the numbers to back this up. Each year, we participate in the Great Place to Work© Survey, an external survey that benchmarks our culture against our peers, and in 2020 we were ranked the 11th Best Workplace in the medium sized company category. In 2021, we have exceeded our 2020 scores and are now in the top 5, with 98% of our staff agreeing Avantia is a great place to work.

If the pandemic has taught us one thing, it’s the value of trusting our staff. We believe in hiring great people and giving them the creative freedom to decide how best to work for us. We have newly kitted out offices in New Malden that are available for our staff to come together, which we feel is an important part of how we work, but we also recognize that some staff work best remotely, so we want to give you the freedom to find the right balance.
