Pet Groomer

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their needs and preferences, delivering a high standard of care and customer service.

**Duties**
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner specifications.
- Handle pets safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and any concerns that may arise.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of pets during grooming; report any unusual findings to the owner or veterinary staff if necessary.
- Assist in lifting larger animals as required, ensuring safety for both the pet and yourself.
- Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices in animal care.

**Qualifications**
- Proven 1+ years experience in animal care and grooming is essential; certification in pet grooming is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary care is advantageous for recognising health issues during grooming.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition towards both animals and clients.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
