We have a great new opportunity to join our Procurement team here at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford (Kent) as a Supply Chain Assistant. Our Supply Chain Assistants perform the vital role of ensuring our wonderful front line and hospital teams have full stocks of crucial materials and equipment.

In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced team whose job it is to manage the ordering, delivery and storing of vital medical and non clinical equipment throughout the hospital site.

This consists of working to a strict schedule for the re-order of products, using multiple ordering systems, and distribution and re-stocking of deliveries via Roll cages and trollies, in-line with manual handling policies.

You will be the first point of contact to deal with queries, requests and complaints from customers, and provide support and assistance on matters related to the wider Procurement Service where needed.

This job role will include the potential of working at other sites when needed.

- Previous experience using stock ordering systems or supply chain systems is beneficial but not essential for selection.
- You must be comfortable with manual handling
- Strong problem solvers
- IT and administrative skills are highly desirable. Any previous use of supply chain or logistics systems is advantageous.
